I saw a news spot on CNN this morning about a shop in Kansas City converting SUV’s and cars to biodiesel, but I didn’t get the name of the shop so, I wanted to know if any of you know of a kit that would allow the same thing?

Remove the entire engine and replace it with a diesel engine.

  2. roadhazzards says:

At the risk of repeating what Thor just said you’d have to install a diesel engine. Financially you’d be better off trading in your car on a diesel.

  3. The Voice of Reason says:

Remove the engine, transmission, engine management system and the entire fuel system and replace with the appropriate diesel engine, transmission, engine managment system and fuel system.

Or you could just jack up the radiator cap and drive a new car under it.

open hood remove motor, replace with a diesel and modify the fuel system. Its easier to start with a diesel and fortify the fuel system for biodiesel

    You can’t!

You need a diesel engine. After that, there are no conversions needed.

Straight vegetable oil does require conversions of the engine though.

No gasoline engine can take biodiesel.
