They use waste vegetable oil and generate a biodesel employing methanol. I have a methanaol recovery system in mind but need a layout for a wastewater treatment plant.

    Hi.
All wastewate treatment plants are designed based on the hydraulic load of the industry and the wastewater characteristics.

In order to determine the wastewater hydraulic load, one must determine, by any suitable mean, the total wastewater dischraged from the industry every day. It is also recommended that a breakup of wastewater discharges over a suitable period of time be also determined.

As far as the wastewater characteristics are concerned, one must determine certain few parameters of the wastewater taken over a suitable period of time. Typically these parameters include but may not be limited to BOD, COD, TOC, TDS, TSS, TKN, Total Nitrogen etc.

A treatment schema is proposed in light of the above data. Sometimes laboratory scale experiments are conducted. Detailed design is carried out and submitted to clients.
