if you throw out all the oil fired stations now, what would you use til we could use the new stuff that we as yet do not have?
No pressure will help, only a better profit by green energy. Maybe tax advantages by solar, water, bio and wind energy production.
Currently the newer coal fired power stations are very environmentally friendly. When you look up at the top of their “smoke stacks” you see that white plume? That is mostly all water vapor. The newer power plants capture most of the polutants (including CO2) before it is exhausted to the atmosphere. The coal is pulverized into a fine powder, as fine a talcum powder and injected into the fire box where 99% of it is burned up. The remainder ash is collected and turned into drywall material. The other exhaust chemicals are collected and sold to chemical companies. CO2 is collected and used by injecting it into oil wells to force more oil out of the oil shale, which is more economical than injecting water in to the wells. Not many power plants use fuel oil to run their boilers as it is way too expensive. Nuclear power is the way to go IMHO, but who wants a nuke in their home town?
since “green energy” makes up less than 15% of our electric energy, you would have to shutdown 85% of you life. You would freeze in the dark. Since man wants to survive, people would just go out and dig their own coal and burn it in stoves in their houses, just like the did during the depression of 1929.
The government takes a solid input tax from coal(it’s not imported…) so it needs other alternative solid input taxes… It’s their solid defence…
Even if you adopt a policy or strategy you can only implement it so fast Electric cars can’t get here fast enough for me, I’m tired of dealing with the Middle East and all their religious problems, That to me that is the real obstical to stabilazation. If you took the actual dollars invested in wars donations and diplomacy we could give the Big three 5 Trillion dollars to develop Electric cars and give one to every man woman and child in the U.S , Revive our own economy and cut the phone line that runs under the sea to the middle east and have money to spare, Since the industrial revolution began we thrived by producing and consuming our own goods, Then for no reason starting about 30 years ago The propagandists told us there is no way we can survive without globalization, THATS A LIE AND IT’S DESTROYING THE UNITED STATES, We need to revive manufacturing in the United States quit outsourcing and build our own country again.
well if they get rid of the oil and gas companies 2 things would happen
those in power would lose their grip on power which they would not allow because it runs the world basically
Secondly, the green companies cannot handle the demand for power for industries and housing
