Luke asked:
would this be worth doing? because many people drive trucks in the Upper Pennisula of Michigan where its usually cold and mostly winter. since there are biodiesel trucks i figure i could buy veggie oil from local restaurants and help people save money on gas. especially since gas is $4 up here right now.

what do you think? i would provide jobs and help people save money on oil and help out local businesses.

Making biodeisel for you own use is one thing. Selling it commercially is another. There are all sorts of state and federal rules and regulations you’ll need to comply with. You’ll need a lot more veggie oil than a few hundred local estaurants can provide to sell enough to recover your startup costs anytime soon. What are you going to with the tons & tons of glycerine waste product?
